You Have One Second To Hook A Potential Reader
Teaching Beyond The Main Idea: Non-Fiction Reading and Critical Reading
It is severe weather season and in our recent severe weather drill Kathy and I revisited the idea of where our kids in high expanse ceiling areas should go to take shelter. The two areas that are the most expansive are the gymnasium and the cafeteria. The gift of modern radar technology allows us to know well in advance when a dangerous storm front is approaching. That gift of time will allow teachers to be able to pick up their students from the cafeteria or gymnasium and take them back to their grade level pod to seek shelter.

Burkins and Yaris top posts of 2013
I am still in need of interested participants. I hope to have our first meeting/mid-year check-in in January.
Interested in serving on the PBIS committee? I am looking for a grade level rep, resource rep, and a special areas rep to help brainstorm ideas for furthering PBIS at CWE! If you are already serving in a leadership capacity on another committee I ask that you not apply for this opportunity so that we can spread around opportunities.
Please apply here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHI0RHdkcGlTT3MtX3cwRnBmakJzWWc6MQ
